I am a 38 year old survivor of many types of childhood abuse starting when I was a baby and some abuses lasting up throughout my 20’s. I have been diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder since October of 1994. I believe in working with my system towards “cooperation” rather than “integration”. If some of us merge naturally then that is okay, but it is not our goal. My alters and I are a family and if it were not for them, I would not have survived the whole ordeal that was our childhood.
This blog is for us to talk about our life and what it is like living with DID and it is also for us to educate others and be a resource for others who dissociate. You will see a wide variety of posts as a great many of us will write here. We are a family and we call ourselves cetcetera.
