Yesterday we did terrible in the way of eating healthy. We ate 2 regular meals rather than 6 small meals and we drank Dr. Pepper all day instead of water. Plus, we had zero fruits or veggies. So, today we are attempting to eat (and drink) better. Also planning to go to the store later on today and buy groceries cuz the cupboard is bare.
Did some looking online for some healthy snacks and here are some that I came up with:
Weight Watchers Cheese Wedges (favorite is garlic & herb!)
Kashi Go Lean Crisp is my fave cereal!!
Beef Jerky (check the sodium content!)
hard boiled eggs (we like deviled eggs, too!)
sugar free jello
sliced chicken breast
Kashi Chewy Granola Bars
Fage Total Greek Yogurt
Apple sliced up mixed with some chopped walnuts and a teaspoon or two of maple syrup
Apple with a tablespoon of peanut butter
Quaker Express Oatmeal – baked apple flavor (microwavable so good for when you’re at work or whatever)
Soy Chips (for chippy/dippy) 🙂
Frozen Juice Bars
Barbara’s Cinnamon Puffins (cereal)
Curves Chocolate Peanut Chewy Bars
Brothers-All-Natural Fruit Crisps (six varieties) [at Costco & Whole Foods]
Fiber One 90 calorie snack bars
Fudgesicle (no added sugar)
Laughing Cow Light Cheese wedges
Laughing Cow Mini Babybel Light
Since I have blood sugar issues, I will need to mix and match these snacks so that I have some carb and protien both in each snack. Anyway, hopefully this will give others some ideas, as well.
